Today, we return to Ethiopia, with an exciting coffee from the famous region of Yirgacheffe.
When we think of Ethiopian coffee, we think of coffees with soft fruit notes and delicate florals – Chelbesa has them in abundance! The driving force behind the Chelbesa washing station is Hailu Figa, who is passionate about showcasing the unique coffees of his native region. Grown around the village of Chelbesa, this naturally processed coffee is distinct and characterful. Hailu works to nurture these qualities by building strong relationships with the local farmers who bring him their coffee. Expect flavours of blueberry, peach, and jasmine, with smooth chocolate sweetness.
